The Altar of Us
Rooted in the spirit of Ìyá, the Yoruba word often translated as Mother — a symbol of nurturing, spiritual authority, and fierce protection, The Altar of Us was co-created to make psychedelic education and integration more accessible, culturally attuned, and rooted in practical application. It exists to bridge the gaps that often leave people feeling neglected in psychedelic spaces — because the language feels confusing, they don't see themselves reflected in the community, or they've returned from a transformative experience without the support they need to navigate what comes next.
Here, complex ideas are translated into clear, relatable language, and healing is supported through trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and spiritually inclusive care. We believe psychedelic exploration isn't just about what happens during a profound experience — it's about how those insights are understood, embodied, and woven into everyday life. Through accessible education, thoughtful integration, and supportive community, The Altar of Us helps those seeking healing to make sense of their experiences, reconnect with themselves, and move forward with greater clarity, self-trust, and intention.
Our Visionary
I was born and raised in New York City, where I grew up surrounded by different cultures, beliefs, and ways of understanding the world. I learned early that people can experience the same life in completely different ways, and that no single worldview holds all the answers. That realization sparked a lifelong fascination with the questions that shape how we understand ourselves and one another.
My work as a full-spectrum doula, herbalist, and parenting coach deepened that curiosity. Supporting people through one of life's most transformative transitions taught me that the moments that change us are only the beginning. What matters most is how we carry those experiences into the way we live, relate, and care for ourselves.
That understanding drew me to the intersection of neuroscience, psychology, spirituality, and herbalism, searching for language that could hold those perspectives in conversation rather than competition. And that search eventually led me to the world of psychedelics and entheogens.
As I explored plant medicine more deeply, learning from Indigenous elders, respected researchers, and experienced practitioners, it reshaped the way I understood myself, my relationships, and the life I was creating. During that process, I noticed two growing gaps. While psychedelic conversations were becoming more mainstream, many people still struggled to find education they could understand. And for those looking to integrate their experiences, there were very few spaces where they felt represented, supported, and safe.
That's what called me to create The Altar of Us: to help ensure that as access to psychedelic experiences grow, education, integration, and community grow with it.
